A "sweet" Christmas tree
Here are some neat directions for a "sweet" tree.
found at
http://familyeducation.com/article/0...-26428,00.html
Appropriate age group(s):
Elementary School
Middle School
High School & Beyond
Estimated time to make this gift:
1 hour
Materials:
Cone shaped foam pieces, sizes vary (available at craft stores)
Hershey Kisses - christmas foil colors (amount varies depending on size of foam cones)
Toothpicks
Instructions:
Remove the Hershey Kisses from the bags.
Stick toothpicks into the bottom (flat side) of each Hershey Kiss.
Starting at the bottom of the foam cone, insert the extended end of the toothpick into the foam base until the Hershey Kiss is flush up against the foam.
Continue going around the bottom level until it is covered with Kiss's. Move up to the next level of the tree and repeat the circles of the Kisses until the entire foam cone is covered.
Place one Kiss at the top, pointy side up.
Other comments or suggestions to consider:
Leave the Kiss tree out for company and family to enjoy during the holiday season (if it lasts long enough!)
You can alternate foil colors in rows, or do entire trees of just green, red or silver foil candies, it's up to you!

You need to register for it to work Lucie--maybe that's the problem you're having? Just enter an email address where it prompts you, and you can see a bunch of projects.

Cool site Melody thanks.
I had forgotten about this craft, and I bet my kids would love to make one this year.
