    Default Ho Ho HO!!!

We got our lights put up outside!

Ok,well not on the roof...but we did all the bushes in the front of our house, and put icicle lights on the insides of the windows...I got the prettiest wreath for the front door...not on sale...but darn I was laying awake thinking about that wreath I wanted it so much..

I feel SO COZY now! (well cozi*er*) it's just so exciting seeing houses lit up...seeing the different ways they decorate....

Oh! There are these really pretty pillow ornaments at target, that have tassles on the bottom....i WANT them sooo bad, but not at 5 bucks a pop! I'm SO hoping there will be some leftover by the time clearance rolls around...

This is one of the things I LOVE about being an adult, is getting to pick out my own decorations. In other words, not having to live with whatever my mom would choose (or should I say not choose, i don't recall much decorations around x- mas time as a kid)

How are you all doing with getting the decorations up?

    WTG Heather!

It sure sounds like you are enjoying your decorations, which is the whole point in my opinion. :santa:

Could you make those ornaments that you like so much?? If you've got a pic, maybe we could help you figure them out?

I am hoping to get the tree up today. We don't do outside lights, but what you have sounds really pretty. I will put up my wreath on my front door too. Last year we waited until the middle of December to put anything up, and since we take everything down for Lauren's birthday on the 28th, it didn't feel like Christmas for long.

Isn't it fun, Heather! I'm glad you are happy about your decorations! I hope you can get your pillow ornaments for Christmas!

We usually decorate after the 8th, which is Pierre's birthday, but this year, I want to start on the first of december. Now that I'm in the Christmas spirit, I want tour home to be decorated earlier, so we can enjoy it sooner!

I'm slow at taking the decorations down...it can be a week or two after New Years...

I love Christmas lights and decorations. DH hasn't put ours up outside yet and I have been looking around for a new wreath to decorate the front door.

Isn't it exciting to see your house all llit up and ready for Christmas? WTG Heather!! I hope you get those pillows you are hoping for.

I started wondering if I could possibly make them too....pillows are simple enough to make and then I'd just need tassles and some braiding to put on the edges...and figure out a way to write 'noel' and 'joy' on them...

I thought I could find a picture of them on the target website, but I can't find any ornaments at all

We got the outside lights put up yesterday, the first on our block this year! I told the kids we were going to inspirre everyone else! I need to put the outside wreath up, but Jeff has to put a new hanger for it on the door first. The kids and I will slowly do the rest of the house this week as we clean it and put away all the other junk first.

I guess I'd better get moving and start decorating! I haven't even thought about the outside decorations yet. Your decorated house sounds beautiful Heather!

DD and I got our tree up and decorated yesterday in the living room and the stockings hung, and a few nativity sets up (front hall table, dining room sideboard). Now I'm just waiting for the fresh greens we ordered to come in (DH orders them from someone at the office).... two wreaths, one for each front window, and a garland for the living room mantle. That's about it here.

DD decided not to put up her little tree in her room this year and DS doesn't get home from school until the 20th, so it'll be up to him if he and his girlfriend put up one downstairs with his decorations or not.

I'm done and now it's time to enjoy!
