LFL: holiday wolfdowns
How is everyone doing during the holiday season? I ate so much garbage.
I was chowing down everything in sight. ugh. I don't know why I did it, but it was delicious. (how bad is that?) I took a long walk to work some of it off.
Has anyone been watching Dr. Phil's weightloss challenge shows? Just curious.
I'm motivating myself for summer now. It's quite a ways away, but I have quite a ways to go. lol
I'm feeling good about my overall weightloss, but it was really tough to have my mom see me. She hadn't seen me since I was much thinner.
I just wanted to offer any encouragement and support to anyone that is struggling through the holidays with their food choices and exercise.
Please enjoy yourself regardless and remember that if you overeat, you can just get right back on track and don't give up!
I'm looking forward to posting my before and after pictures once I lose all that I want to.
I was huge. I am so not kidding. My fat pictures make me want to cry. I'm still unhappy with how I look, but am motivated to keep on losing the best that I can.
Please know that you can do it. It took me almost a year to really make good consistent and healthy changes, but I'm seeing the results. Weightloss takes consistent good choices and I believe that if I can do it...anyone can.
35 lbs down. I can't believe I was 35 lbs heavier last year.If you'd like to help support Frugal Living by Sara Noel, my syndicated column, e-mail, write, or call the managing editor at your local newspaper and ask them to publish it in print or online. Ummm, I'm sitting here with a box of chocolate-covered cherries
There is just too much good stuff around at Christmas to resist it all
I don't plan on getting on the scales til January because I know I'll just get depressed over what it has to say. I have been cutting back on serving sizes though so maybe that will help some, at least I can hope so

Congratulations Sara on your weight loss.
With all the stress going on here, I'm eating all kinds of wrong foods. I'm sitting here drinking Pepsi and eating Christmas cookies. I've got to get back on track as well.
Yes I've been watching most of Dr. Phil's weight loss show. I also got his book. Guess I should really sit down and read it. I only read the first couple of pages!!!
Thanks for the encouragement!!

Sara, that is just so awesome, and that is a lot of weight! I am where you were last year. I was doing so well last year, then when it seemed so many little things were going wrong at once, I found comfort eating. I am actually bigger this year than last year. I have a plan to change my eating style, dh did better as well when our meals were mainly protein, his blood sugar went down in a big way. I felt so much better too.
My schedule makes it very hard sometimes, although I know I could make healthier choices than I do. Right now I guess I am sufffering from lack of motivation and as sad as this sounds, I cant wait to cook for my family during the holidays. I do so little of this on a regular basis, because of time constraints.
I guess where I can start is minimizing my portions. I need motivation.
You and CJ doing so well in your battles with weight is motivating. I think that is wonderful!
