Just had to share this gift idea!
Our neighbors moved in not too long ago....they are a very nice family - homeschoolers - 3 kids - cute dog - the whole nine yards....whenever they make something new, they always bring some over to us - the other night, they brought over a Pineapple-Upside cake still warm from the oven! We really wanted to send something over to them for Christmas since they've always been so thoughtful, but we were unsure of what - then -
I thought of this - not the most frugal gift, but neat....
We received a Monopoly game that is still wrapped (we already have regular & ARMY Monopoly)....I also bought some microwave popcorn, pretzel sticks, a couple of envelopes of Kool-Aid, made some cookies, and even shared some
.....I put all of this in a huge stainless steel bowl (for the popcorn) and made a cutsie label that said "Family Fun Night Kit - Just Add Family"
They loved it!!
I thought it was cute - thought I'd share!!

We had a family (umm remember dhs supposed night time boss????
) and the mom really envied us our family nights. So we did the same thing, got them a set of uno cards and another game (can't remember what!) some pop corn and a couple little things and told them it was their "fun night kit"
Mom and kids were thrilled cuz there was something in it for each of them, like the dad got the peanuts, the kids the chocolate etc.
Not sure how the dad felt, he never said a word!

Great idea Deb!!
I'm doing this for my brother's family this year. I'm using a huge stainless steel bowl for the container, a DVD, Haiwian Punch, movie candy, pizza mix and cutter and bubble gum.
Not exactly frugal but still less expensive than buying 4 seperate gifts!
