    Default Isaacsmommy...and everyone else too.

Just wanted to share my idea about the Christmas tree and keeping it upright and safe from little ones...even the furry kind with four legs.

Put a small cuphook or even a small nail in the ceiling just above the tree, then tie some fishine line or wire to the hook and then onto the top of the tree. I heard this on tv or something and used it always when I had cats and babies. It really works. Also, I bought one of those inexpensive fences at the home store, the kind that you unroll, it looks like a little picket fence. I put it around the tree to keep the babies out of the tree and gifts, both work very well. I hope Isaac gets his Christmas tree.

That's a wonderful idea Robin. Now everyone here with little ones can enjoy their tree without worry about it coming down.

Thanks for the ideas ladies... I just don't know if we'll do a tree or not. Dh and I need to discuss it tonight, b/c if it doesn't happen today, it won't . I just can't get excited about dragging all of the decorations out only to put them away again in another week or so.

I had friends who hung their tree upside down from the ceiling and then decorated it. The kids couldn't reach it, and it certainly was a conversation starter. They still hand the tree upside down.
