Question Has anyone ever been to Disney Christmas week or the week after?

I'm curious to know how the prices, crowds, and weather are.

    TIA!

The weather will be nice - you'll be able to wear shorts and short sleeved shirts during the day. At night it will be cooler.

Definitely check with the hotels you are interested in. Many of them have suffered damage from the hurricanes and won't be open for a while. I don't know how that will affect prices either. Inflated prices aren't allowed right now, but since that will no longer be hurricane season and it's the holidays, you may find outrageous prices due to lack of rooms. Many rooms all over the state are being currently taken by disaster relief workers and out of state work crews. I don't know if rooms will still be taken during that time frame or not for those people. It's taking a long time for insurance adjusters to check properties. And unfortunately hurricane season goes through Nov. 30th so this may not be the last of it for FL this year.

    Bring Sweatshirts!
The evenings can even be down right cold.
I remember one year buying a heavy parker!

Keep in mind that New Year's Eve is the biggest day of the year for Disneyworld. We took DD when she was 6, and were in the last group they allowed into the park before they shut the gates.

The lines for the all the rides were huge. You didn't "meet" any of the characters wandering around the park. You had to stand in line to meet the characters, and the line for Mickey and Minnie was over two hours long, no joke.

The weather was good, there was no problem finding a hotel room. Traffic wasn't too bad until we got to where we couldn't get off the highway anymore, but had to go through to Disney. There were people, though, who were stuck on the highway all. day. long waiting for a chance to either get into the park or just get to turn around and get going back the other way.

Feb. will be colder weather than now. You might see some lows in the 30's and 40's with highs in the 50's and maybe 60's.
