Default When did you start your own traditions?

When did or will you start your own holiday traditions?  I think we are going to re-start them this year.  It was so much easier when DH was in the military and we were away from everyone.

So ours is going to begin this year with a short visit to the in-laws then home for the holidays.

When did yours start or when will you start?

Almost 36 years ago and each year we've made more traditions and hung on to some old ones and threw out some old ones.

Its never too late to start your own traditions.

The year we started living together.

This year we are doing things a bit differently and staying home on Christmas day. I'm tired of racing off here and there. I want to have a nice, quiet day with just us, and my parents and brother if they want to visit.

We have done the same thing ever since we got married. We go to our parent's homes on Christmas Eve, and we stay home (for the most part) on Christmas day. This year will be the first for our baby, so I want to start some new traditions.

Hubby and I started some as soon as we started dating oh so many year ago. We've added to them and this year we are planning on just spending Christmas with our little family. The boys want to go snowboarding!
