That is such a pretty block! Thanks.
I haven't tried a flying geese pattern yet but figure I could do it.

Thanks Kim, I think I'll make one of those today or tomorrow. Very pretty.
Carolyn, the flying geese is very easy as long as you use your 1/4 inch seam allowance and your cut accurately. Thats all.

Kim, I'm blaming you for this one. I just could not go without making this block. I plan on making 4 and putting them together as a wall hanging. While in the quilting store today because I needed white material,
(well I need a reason right), I picked up some Christmas material just so I could make this block.
I'll post a picture as soon as I get it done.

I'm going to post a few tips here for anyone doing this. I'm working on this right now.
tips
~cut out all the pieces first. It makes it much easier to do and when you have a few minutes, you can sew it.
~when doing the flying geese. Take your first 2 inch block and place it on your first color. (green) Take a pencil and a piece of sand paper. Place your 3 1/2 inch rectangle and your 2 inch block, facing each other, on your sandpaper. Draw a line corner to corner just as in the picture in the link. Your sandpaper will hold your material so it doesn't move when you draw your line. Drawing a line also makes your "flying geese" block come out accurate.
~When you press, make sure you press towards the outside of your block.
~take your next 2 inch block and do the exact same thing. Your line is going to go over the other 2 inch block. Sew, making sure you use your 1/4 inch seam allowance.
~after you've cut (as in the link), press towards the outside of your block.
Your flying geese each should measure 2 x 3 1/2 inches.
Hope that helps anyone doing this.

I just finished one block. I'm making 3 and going to make a table runner with them.
