    Default Christmas crockpot menu?

On Christmas Eve, we go to Children's Mass -- about 4 or 5 pm. Then, we get home around 7. Last year, I made spicy carne adovada in the crockpot (no recipe; I just buy it at Kroger in the meat section). It was good, but the kids don't eat spicy stuff, so I had to make pasta for them.

What other crockpot items would be good to come home to on Christmas Eve?

BTW I have 3 crockpots. So I could make a variety.

I've made turkey breasts in my crockpot, and they have turned out really good. There are probably recipes that use cranberry sauce with the turkey, too. Maybe some kind of potato dish in another slow cooker and a festive Christmas drink simmering in another, maybe a spiced cider or mulled wine? I, too, like the idea of using my crockpot on Christmas. It sort of slows down the pace and lets me relax more with my family.

I do turkey breast in the crockpot as well, with gravy and cubed potatoes ( alt. to mashed)

You could do a Dessert in one
Triple Chocolate Mess is great for the crockpot and it's warm so it takes some of the chill off.

I like the idea of simmering Mulled cider/wine in the other great idea

I make homemade potato cheese soup and add chucks of ham to it. I serve it with a big salad and fresh rolls. I also have a crockpot of apple cider going and hte house smells heavenly!
