    Wink Not to sound like Scrooge, but is there any Christmas song that drives you batty?

    Every year I look forward to hearing wonderful Christmas music, both old and new. I go along singing in the stores, at home, in the car and just enjoying myself until IT comes on...
    IT affects me like someone running their fingernails across a chalkboard or scraping their fork against a china plate

    The culprit....Jingle Bell Rock!

    I absolutly cannot stand that song. Give me Alvin and the Chipmonks singing anything rather than suject me to the torture of this song...

    Mine is one of a lot of people's favorites..... The Little Drummer Boy Now I don't mind it too much if it's a recorded version, but every time my church choir sings it I want to scream.

    LOL I love all of those songs--Carolyn's because it reminds me of my kids singing and laughing when they heard it for the first time.

    I know there are a few that bug me, but I'm drawing a blank right now

    I love "So this is Christmas" and "Jingle Bell Rock"!!!! I'm going to have to think about ones that bug me, though. Actually, there was something on the radio yesterday that was really weird. It sounded like a couple guys talking for quite a while, then they started singing the "12 Days of Christmas", only on the first day of Christmas my true love gave to me......a beer. It was pretty bad. They couldn't even sing.

    Another vote against "So this is Christmas," and the stations here play "My Grown-Up Christmast Wish" WAY to often. I'm okay hearing it once or twice a season, but it's rediculous how many times it's on the radio! And while I like the words to "O Holy Night," some versions are soooooo slow. Okay you can call me Scrooge! :sarolleye

    Ok I must be wierd. I don't think there are many that I don't like. Granted there are some that they overplay, but by the next year, I am ok to listen. lol.

    Jingle Bell Rock for me brings back memories of my Mom. We had to do something for Brownies (Girl Scouts) for a Christmas thing and we danced to it. Otherwise it probably would get annoying lol
