I totally understand - something about Christmas just makes you want to play with your kids and do fun stuff.
I just wish I could be home with dd now. This is the first year that I've had to work part of Christmas week in a long time and I really miss being with her. Oh well, Thursday and Friday I'll be home and we will make cookies.

Oh Michelle~I'm so sorry. That is way too late. They should at least let the kids out on Wednesday. What about the families that need to travel? Do the schools really think there is much learning going on that close to the holiday?

I know! It's pure craziness...on Wed, their teacher told them that it's game day so bring in games to play. On Thurs. they're attending a school concert at another elementary school. I wish those days were voluntary. I'd rather be doing crafts/activities with them instead.Originally posted by hmsclmom

That stinks!
Even with all the days missed this fall, the schools here have this entire week and all of next week off.

Wow! They get out late for Christmas break. We started our Christmas break Friday, the 17th. That was our last day and we had early dismissal so I was excited!! Now I can be home for 2 weeks....1 week before Christmas and 1 week after to catch up on things around the house and finish up all I have to do before Christmas. I have the boys baking cookies.

I stopped with Ericks lessons last Friday. He will start back up on Monday. I like it better this way because he can be involved with the Christmas prep and activities.
