A creative way to wrap paper gift certificates?
I would have sworn that we had a thread with ideas on wrapping gift certificates here a while back, but I can't seem to find it if we did.
I need to wrap two Taco Bell certificates for my teenaged sisters. These are paper certificates, not gift cards.
Any fun ideas?

How about buying some Crackerjacks and putting the certificates in an envelope. Then, with a utility knife, carefully cut open the bottom side of the box (just enough to slip in the envelope) and then tape it shut. Put a tag on it saying there is a special prize inside for a very special sister!

That's a neat idea Debbie!
We bought quite a few gift certificates this year, I'm going to wrap them and put them in a gift bag--not creative at all over here!!

Debbie, I love that idea!
But, unfortunately, I'm completely snowed in with no cracker jacks in the house. So, I will file that one away for future use.
Gina, I'm with you- that's probably what I'll end up doing! Oh well, the gift will still be the same and I know they'll enjoy them.

How about a toilet paper roll, empty one and make it look like a cracker...roll paper and twist the edges?

I saw this tip...
Instead of presenting someone with a gift certificate inside of an envelope, make it extra special. Carefully remove the hook top off of a clear glass ball tree ornament, stuff the ball with fake snow, tinsel or sequins. Roll up a gift certificate and insert it into the ball, put the hook top back onto the ornament. If you'd like to help support Frugal Living by Sara Noel, my syndicated column, e-mail, write, or call the managing editor at your local newspaper and ask them to publish it in print or online.
