Default Have you done any Christmas shopping yet?

I hope you don't think it's incredibly tacky, but I have already found some gifts for my dear children -- at garage sales!

So, before I go garage-sale-ing this morning:

Have you got any of your Christmas gifts yet?

Here's what I'm planning to give the kids so far. [One dd still likes toys; the other is beginning to outgrow them.]

AG 'Samantha' doll -- $55 at a garage sale
2 AG 'Girls of the World' dolls -- $16 apiece (bought in 2004) at www.americangirl.com
Beanie Bopper doll -- $2 (garage sale)
    3 Beanie Babies -- $1.50 (garage sale)
framed picture (tropical fish) -- $1 (garage sale)
photo album -- $0.50 (garage sale)

Sigh. I'll still need to find something for my oldest. Thrilling toys are easy to find at garage sales. Who knows what all the 5th-graders will think is cool by Christmas!?

Now, I live an hour's drive away from Target, Sears, etc. So, I don't get to go to many sales -- and I usually have the kids with me when I do get to town.

I have 2 books, 1 Bitty Baby outfit (bought for an incredible price!), and some misc. small stuff set back already. Not nearly enough. Haven't made it to any yard sales yet.

I have a few items in my gift stash and my Christmas savings is climbing. I'm hoping to have things done early and I am determined to be better organized than last year.

I have gifts (homemade) for 5 grandsons. Otherwise I haven't thought too much about Christmas.

I've bought 2 children's gifts but that's all. I have been "thinking" about it, does that count?

    Not a bit.

I'm hoping to start going to yard sales again soon (when I'm feeling better in the mornings). The same goes for shopping sales/clearance at places like Target, etc. I just haven't felt well enough to deal with it right now.

I've started. At yard sales I've gotten a new photo album for my MIL. A new wooden brain teaser game for dh's step-sis' boyfriend-father of her child. And a used Fisher Price Little Peoples Farm for DD (she'll be 2).

I've gotten a few other Christmas gifts on clearances, just haven't decided who they will go to yet.

I'm about 1/2 done--all the inlaws are done and I have lots of misc. things put away from Kohls 80-90% off after Christmas and winter clearance. I scored these great winter scene kitchen towels, originally $5 each for about .75 each--I bought around 25 at that price for baskets and hostess gifts etc. I also have stacks of $2 Barbies and a few odds and ends from Toys r Us clearances.
