    Default Christmas Lights

When do you put yours up? DH wants to do it before the weather turns very cold? When is your average light installation date?

Me too--- I LOVE Christmas lights, and can't wait to get them up. Holding off until the day after Thanksgiving takes effort on my part, lol.

Usually after Thanksgiving unless we get a really nice fall afternoon to put them up early. But we NEVER light them until after Thanksgiving and usually closer to the first of December.

Our electric company announced plans to raise their rates this winter and so I will not be putting lit decorations or any ights outside this year. I usually do it the first week of Dec.

Too bad for my neighbors since they got to see it all lit up more than I did.

We've never put up any outside lights and won't be with electric rates continuing to rise here.

We put ours up the day after Thanksgiving also. Just a few "icicle lights" on the front and side porches.
