    Smile Dd's Christmas quilt

This quilt really stretched me and took me outside my boundaries when it came to quilting. Purple is not my favorite color, however after doing this quilt I will definitely be using purple more.

I will be pinning it today and then at night, hand quilting it. Dd keeps looking at the quilt and saying "you did it in purple". She has no clue though it is for her.

    Beautiful CJ!

2 questions, what size are the blocks and what size is it finished? I love how you framed the center and then added more blocks as the border.

Dee, the size completed like this is 75 x 90 inches. Without the pieced border it is 58 x 73. You could do it either way. The only problem I had was making 18 of the same blocks. You'll notice I changed colors because I just could not make 18 blocks of the same color.

The blocks are 12 1/2 inch blocks (all of them).
