What do you want for Christmas?
People have been posting what they are buying for others, but what do you want for Christmas? I usually try to buy people practical gifts for Christmas.
This year, so far, I've asked for a crank style radio so I don't need to use batteries in case of a power outage and another drying rack for clothes. I asked for the "Just Beans" cookbook, and an oval tablecloth.
So, what do you need...what's on your list?

My husband asked me the other day what I wanted. I cant really think of anything I want,or need.
I bought myself a purse not long ago,the most money I have ever spent on myself and dont want him spending anymore on me.
My husband has asked for a xbox steering wheel

I'm thinking of being practical and asking for a deep freeze. I also want a sweat suit outfit. Other than that can't think of anything!

I want to replace all the plastics we are using in the kitchen so I am asking for stainless steel items (measuring cups, measuring spoons, mixing bowls, colander) and glass items (drinking glasses, mixing bowls, canisters), etc.

Well, since we had to file bankruptcy, I would just like to have enough cash to give the girls a nice Christmas. They are only allowed to ask for 3 things, and what they have asked for is not extravagant. But, I am not sure we will be able to make Santa happen.
As for me, if we were to win the lottery, I would love to have a decent digital camera so I could ditch my film camera. Pratically, I want new slippers and some new jeans.

Nothing, but dh will probably get me a gift certificate to Borders or Barnes & Nobles.

Instead of getting each other gifts, dh and I just think of that one big ticket item we want and that's what we get. Since we do absolutely nothing throughout the year, and we hike and kayak in the summer (a very cheap but absolutely beautiful way to enjoy the summer), we splurge on that one thing every xmas.
This year, we are probably looking into getting a second hand snowmobile. Some of our items over the years have been skis, stereo system, washer/dryer, and hdtv.
The snowmobile will be great as we love the outdoors. And the kids love it too! Between this and their one gift from us and their gift from Santa, they absolutely love xmas time.Tamara

The only thing I want for Christmas is 48-72 hours completely alone. Stick me in a cheap sleezy hotel with pizza delivery service and a couple of books and leave. Sorry if that doesn't sound very loving toward my family and, I'm just in desperate need of down time.

A few books, a few c.d.s, some new clothes. Not much really. Philip and I almost never buy anything just for us during the year so this is the one time we do make a list of things we would like. I must be feeling pretty content because I can't think of much this year whereas some years my list has been never ending!

More hours in the day?
Dh and I are not getting each other anything this year, however, my parents will probably get me a Barnes and Noble gift card. I have seen some new books that I want to read. When to read them? Not quite sure.

bevjean, you took the words out of my mouth... Just a little alone time would be wonderful....DH goes to the coast everyother week to be with his mom, and I do not go anywhere... I understand and am thankful that he is there for her since her DH passed away two months ago.. He get a break from our DKs ever other week, where I am at home with all the drama, 24/7... Love them, but need a small break... Now back to reality...LOL..
New bath towels
New dishes, with glasses, silverware, the works....(Still have the dishes from DHs first marriage...
) It has been twelve years ya know....
I would really love to get new livingroom furniture, but I think that will have to wait until taxes....
What I want the most though would be my replacement mothers ring... DD(2yrs) flushed the other one down the toilet... We think she was jealous because it did not have her stone on it.. We had gotten it before we knew we were pregnant again... LOL.
Anything would be nice, as long as DH actually thought about it and got it for me, not the family... Every year I think hard about what to get him and he just get something *HE* wants and puts my name on it... OH well..... I did not need the surround sound system last year, but DH loves it....
