I've seen upside trees on HGTV, I think. The ones they showed were absolutely gorgeous, because they were decorated by designers, but I can't imagine actually doing one that way.

I'm not really a fan of the upside tree. It doesn't look like a Christmas tree anymore, ya know? It also is somewhat unsettling; like an upside down cross.

I agree; I found it disturbing.

But I don't get troubled by garlands of greenery. It's just something about the upside-down tree that bugs me.

I think I will pass. It reminds me of a biker type club I went to once. In the main hall they had their Christmas tree rigged up to a pulley on the celing. After the season was over they just pulled it up to the celing and let it hang there for the remainder of the year.
