Yah! I got dh DONE for Christmas
And a great deal too!!
He started his new (civilian, just retired from the Army) job this summer and has a lot of balancing to do. He needs to have access to his emails at all time and since he doesn't have a PDA, for him that means a lot of trips back & forth to his office to check his emails/phone messages.
I've been looking for weeks for a good deal on a PDA/cell phone combo and only have $150 to spend. it wasn't looking good because even the cheapest deals were over $200
Every other day or so, I check the Cingular website to see what kind of deals they have (we have them for our cell phones and are very satisified with our coverage). Well, this morning I came across a [ame=http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/B0007NP8PW/qid=1131727347/sr=8-1/ref=pd_bbs_1/102-7649227-4040113?v=glance&s=electronics&n=507846]palmOne Treo 650[/ame] for $140!! You can see from the link that they regular price for these babies is between $300-600
Plus I was able to get a free phone upgrade for my phone (very old, on the old network) and renew our cell phone plan (which we needed to do anyway, with the old phones/network & not so great plan we had) with more minutes & free mobile to mobile (which we don't have now) for only $10 more per month
And I stayed in my budget
Dh will be happy to get his Christmas present early LOL
