    Default Steamed Christmas Pudding

Help! I need advice...is it possible to freeze a steamed Christmas pudding once it's been cooked?

I'm having a large group in for Christmas this year and I'd like to made a few of these puddings as gifts.

Also - does anyone have a recipe for Rum Sauce? My Grandma used to make the best rum sauce but the recipe has been lost...

They are fine to freeze. Do it in foil and then a plastic bag.

If you used a recipe with brandy or rum + real butter, they should be fine without freezing. These puddings were always made early so they had a chance to mature before eating.

Yup, my mom makes Christmas pudding and she always freezes it ahead of time, and it tastes great. It's so rich!

Thank you so very much for the rum sauce. I'm thrilled...looks just like Grandma used to make. Bless your heart.
