Default How are you doing with Christmas shopping/preparations?

I have about half of my gifts wrapped and ready to go. (Thos for DD and other little ones.) I've finally decided to make reusable cloth bags. I generally re-use gift bags from previous years, but I want to switch to cloth as thy are more durable and I have lots of nice holiday-temed fabric. For DD, though, I want a couple more years of unwrapping. I will try to use recycled paper for that, though, and recycle what I can.

I have probably 75% of my shopping done, and as soon as I get the bags sewed up, most of my wrapping, too.

I still have all my baking and candy-making to do, though.

    Where do you stand?

Oh, and nothing we bought for DD is over $6, but I think we are going to buy her a really sturdy little pony she can ride, and that will be pricey. We typically get her one big gift and several smaller. inexpensive (yard sale or clearance) gifts.

A lot of my shopping is done-

I need to finish some hand made gifts and the food gifts (but waiting til closer to Christmas for those)

I haven't even started wrapping yet-- but we recycle wrapping paper, use fabric bags for the gifts here at home, and I purchased some new paper at the after Christmas sales last year (got some nice paper for .25 roll!)

Shopping's almost done; I have some cookie dough logs in the freezer; and DD started wrapping teachers' gifts yesterday.

I've got our family newsletter 3/4 finished.

    So ....

I have some wrapping, all the cards, photos to order, and some more baking.

I've got 99% of my gifts bought. They are slowly coming in the mail, and I hope to start wrapping this weekend or early this week.

I do have several gifts to make though, and I'm hoping to have them done by the second week in December.

I have 8 more people to buy for on my list, and I will be finished. That's pretty good considering I have like 25 people on my list. lol I will probably pick up 2 more gifts this weekend. I want to be completely finished at least 1 week before Xmas. I want to enjoy the Holidays as much as I can.

All of dh's and ds's gifts are done. I have a tiny bit to get for ds's stocking and a bit to get for dh's. We don't send gifts to family members so nothing to take care of there. For ds's teachers at church, I'll make some candy - I just need to pick up the supplies I need. I'm not sure what I'll be baking during December. There will be a few treats, but mostly I want to concentrate on getting things into the freezer for after the baby comes (esp. breakfast items like muffins, waffles, pancakes, quick breads, etc.). Hopefully our kitchen counters will be ready and installed by Dec. 1st and we'll be good to go.

I have started. Alex and I are going to the lake this week end to do a bit of shopping. For my father, we are going to do some home repairs for him when we go home for Thanksgiving. He needs that way more than more "stuff."
I have started on my gift baskets too. The apple butter is made. I think I'll do a small hm gift as opposed to my usual baking.

    My list consists of:

~ DH -- a video game (not bought yet, not til Monday)
~ Mom and her boyfriend -- have a plan for a wall hanging
~ MIL and S-FIL -- a wall hanging, should get worked on tonight
~ My best friend -- just visiting.
    ~ DH's best friend -- earrings
    ~ SIL -- earrings
    ~ BIL -- No idea
~ DH's friends 3 kids -- no idea yet, might buy some DVDs.
~ My friend's little girl -- coat and homemade mittens
~ Brother -- a DVD of Bill Cosby's standup comedy. Sounds tacky, yes, but that was one of the things he and I used to do when we were children -- listen to Bill Cosby comedy records.
    ~ DH's Grandmothers -- crafted angels
~ My granfather -- no idea yet.

So I still have my grandfather, my BIL, and 3 little kids (11 to newborn).
