How many Christmas trees do you have each year?
I am a Christmas fiend.
I will tell you how many I decorate, then I am going to run and hide.
I have one real one that I buy from my neighbor, when he has them, or the mayor, when my neighbor doesn't have them.
I have two full-sized artificial ones in my bay windows. I try not to have them lit too much, because they waste electricity.
I have one 4 foot and two 2.5 or 3 foot trees. I have several smaller ones. They are not lighted.
I like to have one in each room, and I got them all free (used) except the one we bought for DDs bedroom.
The ornaments are mostly hand-me-downs or family heirlooms.
Do you all think I am crazy yet?
My mother passed a tree and ornament set down to each of us- she would keep it for a few years, then give it to us when we had our own place.
Most of these trees would have ended up in landfills (with the exception of the one my Mom gave us and the one for DDs room.) I like them.

And I should add that the real one goes back to my neighbor and he puts it into his compost heap at the nursery.

One-- and that's about all I can handle

We have an artificial one dh grew up with. It's ugly and I want a new one. DH loves it so for now that is our main one. We didn't put it up last year because ds was a month old at Christmas and dd was 18 months old, our living room was tiny and we got lots of out of town company staying with us over the holidays so I decided a tree was more than I could handle. Mom bought me a small pre-lit table top one and I'll put that one up this year too. (We've moved to a bigger house.)

One ratty one. rofl We have to tie it to the wall to get it to stand and not fall over. Last yr it fell twice. lol
It's a big job putting it up and taking it down and I can't imagine more than one. Gabe would like to get a real tree this year and the nightmare of pine needles has me saying PLEASE NO! lolIf you'd like to help support Frugal Living by Sara Noel, my syndicated column, e-mail, write, or call the managing editor at your local newspaper and ask them to publish it in print or online. We usually get a real tree, but for the past two years we haven't had a tree and it's depressing. In this apartment it's a pain. We hated wasting real trees and so last year we got a potted tree. It didn't do well indoors so we gave it to DH's mom, so she could plant it in her yard. I can't wait to have a house and a tree.

NONE! no tree, no decorations, I do stick the christmas cards to the doors
but truth be told I would rather not get them ( save a tree, go without
)
I used to "do it all" when the family all used to come & stay ( when we lived by the seaside)now we are back in urbansville it's just Me, Dan & Suzy and my parents stay over on Christmas day.
We have a very quiet, relaxing time, but Christmas is for kids. & we don't have any..........we enjoy watching Suzy rip open her parcels ( and she is happy to help any one else open theirs, bless her!
)
That's not to say we don't enjoy ourselves we do!
I would like to go away for Christmas one year, never done it yet .................

Karen, I would actually figure you for no trees.
I do try to be careful about where I buy my real one- the ones from the nursery would otherwise be destroyed because they aren't generally straight enough to remain in the nursery stock, and if I buy from the mayor, I know he is growing them specifically for this purpose and I am supporting my neighbors. You have to actually go to his yard to pick up the trees.

We have one full size tree & two tabletop sized (2ft?) trees. I'd really like a 9ft tree for the upstairs mezzanine, but since we won't be here next Christmas & don't know what size ceilings we will have in our next house, I don't want to chance it. Not to mention, I haven't found one on sale cheap enough for my wallet yet
