Day after the holiday clean-up!
Okay, although we didn't have the holiday here, I also didn't clean a thing yesterday. I'm grabbing a grocery bag and going around the house today and seeing if I can fill it up with trash or junk that can be thrown away. I know I'll feel better once I've neatened up a bit and disposed of stuff.

I did most of the dishes this morning before I left for work. I had to make up some bottles for my mom to give Paige and I couldn't stop cleaning up. The only thing left to clean is the big pot that I fixed the Mac & Cheese in.....I left it soaking when I left this morning so I am sure between mom and Joe it will be clean before I get home.
I shouldn't have anything else to do this weekend except put all the laundry up.
I started getting in a cleaning mood Wed. night and yesterday so the house it about spottless for a change.

I'm just proud of myself because I actually put the turkey stock in the freezer right away this morning. Totally not like me! My normal MO is to wait until it goes bad and then listen to DH ask why I bother!
18 cups of yummy homemade stock now -- makes me happy!

Well, I did the dishes and straightened the kitchen. Then I worked on the bathroom a little. I went through the kids art cabinet and tossed a bunch of stuff. I went through my yarn and pitched some odds and ends and straightened that up too. Every little bit helps.

I cleaned Zachary's room today. You wouldn't think it would be anything worth mentioning, but it is. He has a huge closet and it was stuffed with toys. I hauled them (well Gabe hauled them) all down into the playroom and I scrubbed his hardood floors.
I plan to really go through this place and do a thorough cleaning/organizing when on winter break. If you'd like to help support Frugal Living by Sara Noel, my syndicated column, e-mail, write, or call the managing editor at your local newspaper and ask them to publish it in print or online. Did some picking up yesterday (bag in hand) and with the kids home it's messy again. Have the inlaws coming over tomorrow (to help us cut down a tree for next years firewood) so I'm going to have to whip thru this place and make it look "neat" again.

I got one bag done yesterday, but today I'm going to try to fill another one. I'm pretty sure I can. I'm going to have to look harder than I did yesterday, though.
