We are closing on our new house on Dec. 16 so I don't know how much we will have for gifts.
Life may not be the party we hoped for, but while we are here we might as well dance.

Well. I have 0$ in my budget for Christmas. Actually we will be using our line of credit soon to live on, until the next Student loan payment comes in January.

I will try and spend no more than $20 per child maybe less. But it will have to go on credit card. It will be thrift shop items. Mostly books, coloring books and a few toys.

But then eldest Dd might be getting a horse from our neighbour !

Well, I"m pretty much done and we're $200 UNDER budget!

I budgeted $800 and got such good deals on some items, that we're under budget.

Oh Hollyhill I hope your daughter is willing to work for that horse, getting the horse is the CHEAPEST part of owning one! Trust me on that one!

And we're spending nothing, nada, zilch, NOTHING! I have gift bags saved up and each family gets a bag of home grown beef and home made squirrel feeders with home grown ear corn. The only thing into the gifts is our time making the feeders

    KJ,
That sounds like wonderful gifts to me!! I'd love a feeder. Would you be willing to share your plans for them?
I am hoping to have the gifts come in about $400 and that is for all of us, me included.
I went out the day after Tday and got most of Dd finished.
Our food will be in our normal food budget. I think our budget this month will just be about $50 more.

I think my Christmas budget will be right around $600. I just started to add up who I had to buy for and I was surprised it was so much. This seems like a lot to me, but I buy for a lot of people. Each person has a budget of around $50. After I'm done wrapping the gifts, I'll take an inventory of how much I spent and then I'll post again.

I am trying to keep it simple this year. It will be a much more frugal year than in the past.

I have managed to spend less this year than last, but there are still things I could of cut back on. I think this year I have actually bought the kids less presents, but spent more money. Since they are older, what they actually ask for seems to cost more.

We usually budget $100 for Christmas. I have already spent half of that. It may be a little higher this year, as DH and I have decided we would exchange gifts for the first time in many years. We set a limit of $20 for each other. We spend around $50 on Molly's gifts.
