Question Check in: How much Christmas prep do you have done?

    As of Thursday, December 8th:

All of the outdoor lights are up and the timers are set and working.

Both big trees, three small trees, and most of the household decorations are up. I have decorations in nearly every room of my house.  I still have to finish the garland and bows on the upstairs landing, but, I bought the needed bows today, so I can do that tonight  or tommorow.

I have most of our presents for everyone-- extended family included-- bought.  I need two more small items and then I think I'm done.

We spent last night starting to wrap-- maybe 1/3 of our gifts are now wrapped and under the tree.

I have one box of cards, and two more are ordered and on the way.  I'll start my list and writing letters tonight.

This is definitely the most prepared I've ever been by this date.  I'm aiming to be completely done next Friday- I'm just waiting on those other boxes of cards to arrive so I can get them done!

I voted mostly done. I wrapped most of the kids' presents today (before I ran out of time). Tree is up and decorated. All other decorations are up, but I haven't decided if I'm going to put up our Village houses...I'm feeling lazy about that...

Decorations are up inside and out some shopping left to do. I host a cookie swap tonight and managed to get my cookies done. For some reason this was a chore this year. Still I have a lot to do.

You guys are way ahead of me. I have a wreath on the front door, decoration on the outside lamppost and some shopping done. So I voted I've started, lol. No rush, it'll get done.
Probably decorate the house on Monday and do the tree the 17th or 18th. Shopping will get done in between.

    Mostly done.

Our outside lights are not up. The weather just has NOT cooperated. I think we'll just have the lighted wreath (the only thing that's outside right now) I'm trying to look at the bright side....not paying for the electricy, but I sure do miss them.

Both big trees are up, decorated & lit.

All the interior decorations, table linens, etc. are out.

    Still need to:
    finish Christmas baking
make some ornaments & snowflakes with the kids
build our gingerbread house (doing that tomorrow)
Finish addressing the Christmas cards & get them out
    Finish shopping (next weekend)
    Start wrapping

I am not going to be completely done until Christmas Eve... We get paid the 23rd, and that is when I will do the bulk of my Christmas shopping...

I did however finish my outside lighting, and decorating. We will be getting our tree tomorrow, and decorating the inside of the house tomorrow and Monday... Christmas cards will hopefully go out Monday..

DSister is renting two cabins before Christmas for the family, and all I have to do for that is buy five presents, and figure out what food to bring...

Come Christmas weekend, I will have to shop for the kids, DH, and his side of the family.. OH BOY!!!!! We will be at DMIL house for the day and beyond, so I really have nothing to do for that, except make sure the gas tank is full.

This happens every year and I hate it..... Maybe I can change it for next year... Maybe???? LOLOL

as of today, I've decorated the tree. That is the worst of the mess and fuss and it's over.

I enjoy baking but I stretch it out.

I'm not doing cards, haven't for many years, and don't miss it one bit.

I don't send parcels anymore. The remaining family we give gifts to, it's magazines or money, and the other part of the family (my side) we happily agreed to quit years ago with sending back and forth.

I got the Christmas CD's loaded in the player and have been playing the nicest of them in succession.

We got dd's gift, ds' wants cash.

Dh already got me mine, and it's a seat for the entryway, and it's there in use already. I got him a compound mitre saw that he has been using in the never ending reno project.

As for the outside, I slung the wreath up, and called it quits.

I don't want to bother with the outside lights, so to bless the neighbors who do like lights, I'm leaving my curtains open with my tree in full view and lit up like a

    welll

    like a Christmas tree heheheheheh.
