    Default Funny poem for Christmas

    Here's a poem I wrote for Christmas.

My young son is perched on the store Santa's knee,
Mouth full of lollies and face full of glee,
Santa, he says, Listen closely to me.
This is what I want for Christmas.

A sack filled with presents and left on my bed,
A big rubber ball and make sure that it's red,
Remote control dinosaur with swivelling head,
That is what I want for Christmas.

A helmet and knee-pads to match a new bike,
A singing machine with a cordless blue mike,
A playstation game that my brother won't like,
That is what I want for Christmas.

    A swingset, a seasaw, a huge trampoline,
An action man hero that looks tought and mean,
A spray that can instantly make my room clean,
That is what I want for Christmas.

His list isn't finished, but Santa looks bored.
Come on now, I say, but he pouts when I call.
Oh Mummy, he says, I have quite a lot more,
Things that I would like for Christmas.

Santa gives him a push and he gives me a wink,
And I say that I'll buy him a donut and drink.
As we sit in the food court I can't help but think
Of things that I would like for Christmas.

    A housemaid, a nanny, a gardener, a cook,
A rose-scented bubble bath with a good book,
Chocolate that's hidden where children won't look,
That is what I want for Christmas.

A date with my husband to have a good meal,
Time by myself to just sit, think and feel,
But most of all I want a Santa that's real!
That is what I want for Christmas.
