Default We are going to have an AMAZING Christmas!

Yesterday, we took $10 of the surprise money and bought a tree and decorated it! Boy did it ever feel like Christmas. This morning I took the bag of gifts from our friend at church and to put the presents under our tree (to surprise the children first thing in the morning) and there was an enevlope in the bottom of the bag that said open now it had $100 in it!!!!!!

We now just had a phone call from Dh school to say they have a christmas hamper for our family!!!!! Dh is driving now to get it! It is a total surprise! He remembers them asking some questions about our family the last time he was at financial aid but they were quite general and they didn't say anything!!!!

We are all so excited!!!!! I can't wait to see what is in it. I will let you know!

I remember you wrote that you did all that baking for the student who only had $10/week to spend on food. You have received tenfold for that kind act. Have a blessed Christmas!

Oh Midwest gal we have been blessed many more than 10 times!
David, the other student really loved my banana bread and oatmeal/walnut cookies so I sent some to him almost every week.....
Also, Dh pooled orders for a term end project to save on shipping. Dh only needed $8 worth of parts but others ordered as much as $30....everyone paid but david. He owed Dh $17 but was having a hard time paying. Dh felt terrible for him and said just keep it. Dh said it made our CC balance alittle higher but he couldn't stand the thought that David would be spending what little money he had. David is now back home in Prince George for some much needed pampering before next term.

Dh came home with the hamper...it was amazing.......there was a HUGE box of food.......my pantry is now JAM packed!!!!! It is as full as it would have been if Dh was working fulltime!
There were some small gifts for the children, a $50 GC to chapters, a $40 GC to Red Robins, $20 coupons to Tim Hortons, a $25 GC to blockbuster video and a DVD Player!!!!!!!!!!!!!I can't believe it! We haven't had a VCR since last Feb. and we never had a DVD player.....

We have been sooooo blessed. Thank-you for all your prayers. Prayers work!
