How did everyone spend the holiday?
I went to bed early last night and the church bells woke me at midnight.
This morning we had a wonderful breakfast after a much needed sleeping in! We opened gifts, called friends and relatives and then had a huge meal which will be lo's for most of the week!
It started snowing this afternoon so we have already gone out and shoveled stairs and walkways etc. and the plows are out. If I can stay awake we will watch Home Alone.
Tomorrow is an early work day for me, 6AM.

We got up at 5:30 because the girls went to bed early. We opened our presents and I took a nap. We got ready and went to church at 10 and then came home and had our ham dinner. Amanda and I took another nap, and then I started teaching Katie how to knit with a kit she got for Christmas. Since then I have crocheted and we have just sat around and relaxed. Oh, I called my Mom too!

We mostly slept all day, lol. Fixed snacks and dinner this afternoon and it's almost 8:00pm now we're ready for bed again.
It was a nice day though.

We went over to dinner at mil's house...made a hasty retreat and went to church's candlelight service. then we came home. Christmas morning we woke up, let them open their stockings and two gifts each. We went to church, ds had his recital, and then we came home. we opend the rest of the gifts and cooked dinner, when it was time to eat our friends came to enjoy dinner with us.

We had such a relaxing Christmas. Christmas Eve is our present opening day. So I made a nice turkey dinner for DH and I, we hung out in P.J.'s all day and opened our gifts. Talked with DH's family on Christmas eve and then some friends came caroling at our door, which was fun. Christmas day was also more lounging
, turkey leftovers (yum) and we had some friends come over to visit in the evening.
I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas!

Christmas eve Jack read the traditional Night Before Christmas to the kids and we all went to bed early.
5:45 am Santa came and the kids got up at 6. Spent the next 2 hours slowly unwrapping gifts one at a time & oohing & ahhing over them. Played all day & later Anthony opened his gifts from us & joined us for dinner where we sat around the table, opened our Christmas crackers, donned our crowns and had a lovely dinner.

Santa left us a sauna...in the hallway...
Actually the hot water pipe broke sometime after we went to bed and the hallway, hall bath, office and 1/3 of the living is swampy.
Bad news... it was Christmas and we couldn't get a hold of anyone. Good news... well... the carpet is clean now. LOL
