    Default My Christmas bargains

I have recently started Christmas shopping and determined to keep it all under $200 this year. I hit the JACKPOT the other night at Goodwill!!! Here's what I got:

7 brand new videos (still wrapped in plastic) $1.00 each
    Star Wars book $1.00
Star Wars puzzle (never opened) $1.00
2 baby bath mits (never opened) .98 each (still w/price tags of $5.99 on them).

I have also been buying a bunch of school supplies to put together pencil boxes filled with elmer's glue, colored pencils, and crayons. I figured it out the other day and so far each of these total Christmas gifts (minus the actual pencil boxes and construction paper--waiting for those to go on sale) and so far I've only spent 75 cents on each of these gifts. CRAZY!!

We also went to Big Lots and bought a ton of groceries for $40. Doesn't sound that impressive, but we got a lot.

It's great when you find deals and plan ahead. Me, I'm skipping the purchasing this year and using up what I have on hand. I'm crafting (knitting, crocheting, etc.) with the supplies I've accumulated. Instead of buying wrapping paper this year I'm also using brown paper wrappers (used to cover the napkins that restaurants use....I waitress). I'm hoping that the only things I will purchase are my two kid's main gifts and some stocking stuffers.
