Xmas stuff
I could not believe it, I went to Eckards to pick up some perscriptions and they had half an aisle of Christmas items. I thought Xmas season started the day after Thanksgiving. Has anyone else seen Christmas items by them?

Our Wal-Mart has had some Christmas decorations up for a while now. Gee I hope we make it past Halloween before we hear Christmas songs.

Yep, the same here. Wal-Mart already has things out and so does Walgreens. In the summer, you could already see Christmas stuff up on the high shelves and now they're bringing it down.
I really wish they would wait until after Halloween and Thanksgiving!!
How about those first!!

Same thing going on around here and it's nuts. We haven't even made it to Halloween yet!

Walmart, K-Mart, and Menard's, possibly Lowes, all have their christmas items going up. It is sad. there is no differentiation between the times of year. I don't want to offend anyone, I just don't think of halloween as a holiday, but more of a fun day for the kids. On the other hand, I know it's all about the money for the stores. It's really beyond sad.

I was horrified to see the Christmas stuff too. i am a holiday person and love doing seasonal decorating, so there I was looking for a "fall-ish" thing to hang on my front door and "BOOM" there was Christmas stuff everywhere and most of the fall stuff was GONE!
I was not impressed at all. No wonder people don't live in the moment and enjoy it. It is hardly cold enough to turn the heat on yet and the Christmas, mid winter stuff is out!

so far i've only noticed it in the craft stores and i don't mind it being there as they get it in early for those that do craft shows ans such so they have time to make it before the late novemeber shows.

I was in Linen's & Things a few days ago and they have quite a few aisles with X-mas items.

I know!! I haven't even put out my fall decor yet. I'm waiting until October 1st. When I first saw Christmas stuff it was the first week of September. I know because I was there looking for a few school list add-ons that the kids got when they started back to school. Would you believe by 3 days into school starting they were already packing up the school stuff???

We were at Target this weekend and they had there's up and also Lowes and I am thinking Meijers had a few things up.
I someones ad this week they had christmas cards 3 pks of $9.99 I think it seems to get earlier and earlier every year.
Thou I have to admit dh did buy me a snowman ornament at Lowes I wanted to get it while they still had it and get one that didn't look dirty. So will add that to my snowman collection for my snowman and candy cane tree.
