Default Do You Buy Yourself Gifts For Special Occasions?

I do, I usually will buy myself roses for my birthday (sometimes dh does) and I usually will buy myself something for Christmas.

No usually its something for the house or garden. Since we love to decorate we're always on the lookout for something different. Like the elephant staute in the fishpond that blows water out of its trunk, looks like he's taking a bath.
Or the hippo floating at the other end.

I don't. I feel guilty if I ever buy myself anything b/c I know there is always something my kids want and I would rather spend the money on them.
As a matter of fact, hubby and I do not get each other gifts for any occassion, birthdays, Christmas, Valentines day, anniversary, Moms day, Dads day.

~No, but I make a list for my b-day and I choose what I want for Mother's Day. I don't actually do the buying. My DH picks out stuff for other occassions. He usually picks jewelry or a video game. I'd always get video games if I didn't specify other choices!~

I do if I see something that I really like while Christmas shopping. It's not often that I see something that I really would like to have so if I do I buy it.
My dh never really could take a hint. We also stopped buying big gifts for each other at Christmas and now we just fill each others stockings. We do take a couple of days the week after Christmas and take a mini vacation for just the two of us. Which we would rather do at this point.

As far as birthdays go I have two grown dd's and I just drop little hints for small gifts that do get not

Dh will buy me flowers for Mothers day and Valentines day.
