Have you ever bought your SO their Christmas present early and gave it to them?

My Dh has wanted a 20 inch Flat Screen Monitor for 2yrs now...he emailed me from his computer (we have 3 of them) a sight and picture of the one he wanted...we both looked at it and it got excellent reveiws and was a reasonable price...so anyway he walks back into the livingroom after looking at it with me and I decided to just get it for him...after purchasing it online I was trying to get our printer setup to print the invoice and he walks in the room and ask me whatcha doing Bunches (thats my nickname from him)and I couldn't keep it a secret since he was standing right there watching the printer printout a copy of the receipt...so I said Merry Christmas and Happy Birthday...you should of seen the look on his face...priceless...I guess he thought I would blow it off like I always do when he wants a big ticket item...I'm so happy I gave it to him early..I feel I made the right decision..This man by the way hands me over his paycheck every payday and hardly ever asks to buy anything unless he really thinks he needs it...
So do any of you do this?

too often, i'm a sucker for caving early, last year was ther first in 14 where dh and i didnt exchange early....and the only year we didnt have a big ticket item..

I did last year but only because it was a cell phone & I had to get it activated. He would have known

I found an awesome deal on a Treo 650. He got it before Thanksgiving

I just did it a couple of months ago. DH was wanting a digital camera, I had the money saved up and bought it for him. I said the same thing you did, "Merry Christmas and Happy Birthday early!" LOL

Yes, I bought DH our computer 2 years ago; he got it in November and had NO IDEA I had been saving up to buy it. The look on his face when I got home from "the bakery" was priceless!

I just gave dh his early b-day gift. Found him a really nice wall tent on Craigslist like he had been looking for. Then handed him the cash for it (from my secret stash) and told him Happy Birthday (about 2 weeks early) He is absolutely thrilled and had it all set up in the backyard over the weekend

Yes, I do this too. Once I buy something for DH, I just can't hardly stand not to give it to him.

Hubby and I do not do gifts for each other, but I have given my parents their birthday gifts early. However, I always end up getting them another gift and giving to them on their actual birthday.
