What are you getting your DH for Christmas?
I'm usually done shopping for him by now, but this year I'm having a heck of a time coming up with ideas. I bought him a couple of small things so far. Two pair of flannel PJ bottoms and a bottle of cologne, but we usually buy each other one fairly big gift. In the past I've bought him clothes (but seeing he's on Nutrisystem now) I don't dare....he's dropping lbs weekly. I've also gotten him cigars in the past, but that's getting really old. I've been buying them for Christmas, his birthday & Fathers day for the past few years. He likes PC games, but I don't have the first clue as to what he'd like and don't want to ask him because he'll know what I'm up to. Music CD's he burns himself, DVD's... those are getting old too and we usually only watch them once and then they sit on the shelf colllecting dust.
I'd love to hear your ideas

I want to get him a Nano...but we will see.
I'm also knitting him a pair of socks.
Don't know what else.
Aside from the Treo he got last Christmas (that he ONLY uses as a phone...should have saved myself $300), everything else he got for Christmas is still in the original packages. From the CD stereo for his truck to the thick winter socks. He's so grateful....

I am having the same problem. DH and I make each other gifts so this year I was thinking of making him a whole bunch of snack food. Like beer nuts etc..
I will also be giving him gift coupons for things like baking, his choice of breakfast etc... others coupons as well.

I wish I knew! My DH is a real techie, and since I'm mostly clueless about the stuff, I generally try and avoid the techie stuff. Last year I got him a bigger memory card for his camera, but only because I looked at the model number in the owner's manual and looked up the info online to make sure I got the right one. He loves CDs (he has about 600 of them) but he buys about 5 per month, so I wouldn't chance buying him a CD since he might get it for himself.
This year the budget will be a little tigher than usual, and also since we've really scaled down our stuff, there aren't really any "things" we want. He already got himself the moniter he wants, he did get a new Treo this year - I know he wants some high end Cisco router that's about $2,000 - but that's not going to happen, even if I did know all the model information!
Although, I did learn this last year - since I never had to shop for men besides my dad when I was growing up - the best place to get stocking stuffers for men is at Home Depot/Lowes. He still uses the mini-sharpie and LED flashlight I got him three years ago! He even replaced the battery in the flashlight (I had to laugh - I paid $2 for the flashlight and the replacement battery was $4).Loving wife to DH (8/31/03) and Mommy to Owen Alexander (9/20/06)

I got my dh's a leather coat with the Marine emblem on the back. I got it at Wilson's Leather outlet and on sale there as well. I spent less than $39 on it.
I've also gotten him a watch with a thermometer built in it.
Not sure what, if anything else I'll get him.

We do not buy each other gifts. DH, DD, DS and I spend between 10-14 days at Disney World every Christmas and New Years. I guess that is our gift to each other.
If I was going to get him something I would probably get him a polaris for the pool - our big dog, Hunter, ate ours a few weeks ago.DD (19)

The only thing he wants for christmas, Cash !!! In the past I have bought all kinds of sports shirts, cups, sports everything...he has enough and he really doesn't seem to have any ideas for me. I'm going to let him decide what he really wants this year and just not worry about it. I hope he does the same....He really has a hard time with gifts. I love him dearly, but he always finds the strangest things for me. One year it was these plug in fibration boots (they tickled my feet).

We went on vacation to the Petrified Forest National Park in Arizona. I bought him a (spendy) pair of petrified wood bookends.
Also, I use our Discover Card cashback for Lands' End gift certificates. Since he buys all his work clothes from LE, I'll give him some of those GC's.
Finally, I'll get him a story CD from zbs.

I have no idea what to buy him yet. Usually we ask each other what we would like, and I give him a list of 3 -4 items to pick from. He tells me he doesn't care, get him whatever. Then I have to figure it out.
Telephus, you gave me 2 good ideas, thanks! DH and I were at the hardware store a couple weeks ago and he wanted to get a LED flashlight, we saw some mounted on a display but they were sold out, the clerk said they can't keep them in stock they sell so fast, so I'm going to get him one (if I can find any) and hope he doesn't go and get one for himself in the meantime. I'm also going to wander the aisles at Home Depot for stocking stuffers.“When you get to the end of all the light you know
and it's time to step into the darkness of the unknown,
faith is knowing that one of two things will happen:
you will be given something solid to stand on,
or you will be taught how to fly.” - Edward Teller
“Our Earth is degenerate in these later days;
there are signs that the world is speedily
coming to an end;
bribery and corruption are common; children no
longer obey their parents;
every man wants to write a book and the
end of the world is evidently approaching.”
— From a translation of an inscription on
an Assyrian clay tablet, circa 2800 B.C.E.
God, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change,
courage to change the things I can,
and the wisdom to know the difference.
