    Default Christmas Stockings?

I have decided this year I am going to make our stockings for Christmas. I'm not really advanced at sewing -- I know the basics. I was just curious if anyone has done this before and if so how difficult was it? Any input would be great! Thanks!!

I've made crocheted ones, knitted ones, sewn ones, ones from paper, ones from vinyl. . .

The basic stockings are simple. You can embelish them in many ways-- some which can be quite difficult.

Hobby Lobby and Michael's has some stockings that you cross-stitch the front of and sew the backs to them. You could try those.

The first one I did was a cross stitch one that came in a kit, it was so much easier than I thought it would be. After that I made another cross stitch one from a kit, then one from a pattern I had. The next 2 were just sewn together and I painted them with fabric paint. The next one was for my hubby, is favourite plaid housecoat fell apart and he didn't want to get rid o it so I cut the fabric into the stocking and used the velour shawl part to make a cuff for the stocking. The last one I did was my first attempt at quilting and I think it turned out beautifully. Out of all of them I'd have to say the easiest was the painted ones, I kept putting it off because I figured it would be alot of work, but once I started it took me less than a hour for both of them and there as nothing about them that frustrating. I can try and post some pictures if you want to see them.

Thanks for the input ladies, I have been looking around and it looks easy enough. Bought fabric yesterday and plan on starting on them within the next few days! Thanks again!
