I am hoping to be finished by Thanksgiving. If I'm not finished by then it will be the first time in many years. I don't have much left to buy so thats good.

Bought 2 ...$10.00 gift cards for my nieces (Target) online
Bought 1....$20.00 gift card for mother inlaw(Fred Meyer) online
Have hubby's christmas cash saved.
The only thing I need to do is plan a menu for my yearly christmas Eve party, bake a few goodies (very few). I have come to an understanding about christmas and I refuse to get caught up in the frenzy. Christmas for me is having my family together on christmas eve.

I wish I could say that I had it all completed but I am still trodding along. I had planned on getting Dh a gift card to a hobby shop but he has been wanting a dog and we found the perfect new furbaby yesterday, AKC miniature schnauzer, so we bought him as DH's Christmas present so we did get his completed yesterday. I got a set of marble magnets made for my Dad using pictures of his parents and of him and his siblings as both children and adults, a set of 10 magnets. They turned out pretty cute, I will add a batch of homemade candy to the gift and his will be completed. I usually don't do much for him but for some reason I decided to do more this year.

I'm nearly done.
My boys are all done. My oldest dd will be done as soon as the one thing I ordered comes in. My youngest dd is about 1/3 done. I have a couple of small things for dh, plus am knitting him socks.
The only thing left really is to decide what to get the parents. I NEVER know what to get them anymore. I don't like buying knick-knacky things...especially for our parents. They've been around a long time & have already accumulated alot of "stuff", ya know?
I'm not really in any hurry. I'm enjoying Christmas shopping this year because we set the money aside early enough that I don't feel like we have to choose between bills & Christmas (not that that is much of a choice). Dh & I always finish up completely on our anniversary (Dec. 16th). We go out for the day, go to dinner, & finish buying for everyone
I like that tradition.

I'm finished with the bulk - and waaaay under budget to boot!
I have a $15 & $10 gift coupon to Kmart that can only be used Dec 1st - 3rd, so I'm waiting until then to get all the stocking stuffers -
My budget was $100 per J --- I haven't disected the receipt yet, but my total was $165 (but that was including socks & undies) ---
I have gift wrap that I bought last year (after x-mas), but since everything has to go through the airport to get to california (we are visiting hubby for christmas)
I can't wrap anything!
((oh, the $165 also included hubby's gift, so I can't wait to pick that receipt apart to find out how much I spent per J ))

Almost done here. Everything I have is wrapped. I still need to pick up a couple of gift cards and order a couple of things online to be shipped to out of town relatives.

Done? I have not even started. I always want to be done by Black Friday, but I never ever am. This year money is really tight so who knows when I will get done.

I have a total of 32 people plus ds and dh to buy for.
Besides ds and dh, I need to finish dh's stepdad. I picked up a 2$ 8X10 pic frame and I am going to enlarge a pic for 4$ to put in there.
I need to pick up something for dh's dad.
We have to get my grandparents something--but I am getting a 25$ g.c. to a local grocery store from the bank I work at. I am giving that to them.
Then I need to pick up my brother, who is deployed, dh's brother, and sil's bf.
Then I have to finish up ds and pick up dh's gift. Sigh.McD

Done????? I remember when I use to be on top of it enough to be done by now ((((SIGH))))) . The goal has always been to be done by Thanksgiving.
The last couple of years that has not even come close to happening......this year has been the worst ever for meeting that goal. I can't stand to have a time crunch coming up on me. I like to be able to relax and enjoy shopping for or making my gifts. Work is finally letting up...the big federal accredidation visit we were prepping for is going on currently and our visitors leave tommorrow
sooooo I'll be taking my life and putting it back into balance which deffinately means lots of time off through the holidays
. I'm hopeing to have everything done but baked goods by Dec.9th. I'm afraid to shoot for earlier then that because then the gifts would end up being just an item on a "to do" list. There are a couple of things going in my favor though. 1) Luckily I do buy all year long so I'm starting about halfway done .......and 2) I stashed the cash ....so we'll be giving what we can afford with no financial stress attached to it!!!!!!
