We look at lights as well and Christmas day its off to the movies after all the celebrations. We start Christmas eve my grandparents started the Christmas eve celebration and then Christmas morning we open our presents and have another dinner and leftovers. Now that I am the grandmother I carry on the tradition. Christmas morning I try to make something special for breakfast. This year i am really looking forward to Christmas as I did Thanksgiving.

This year Christmas is going to be WONDERFUL after two very meager Christmas celebrations!!!
It will start with advent this sunday. We will bring out our wreaths and a few decorations as well as our nativity sets and all our Christmas books.

    Other special things will be-
Volunteering for the Sally Ann Kettle Drive. We sing carols and play instruments.
We have adopted 1 family and are sharing another family with several other families (It is a family with 4 children). So we can give generously this year! Oh it feels so good to be on this side of the fence again.
We will be making a gingerbread village.
We will be going to see a Christmas pantomime.
I am hoping to go see a Ballet too (the Nut Cracker).

Christmas is here this year.....so it will be a busy and FULL house.

We drive through a very old and distinguished area of town and admire the lights and the Christmas trees in the windows. We visit a local Christmas display and walk through it. We watch old Christmas movies and drink hot cocoa with marshmallows.

Unless the weather is too cold or it's raining, we build a fire out back, roast hotdogs and marshmellows and wash it down with coffee and hot cocoa. Hubby and BIL play their guitars and we sing Christmas caroles. We have done this now for the past 4 years and it's becoming a family tradition.

We also look at Christmas lights but just spending time together at home watching a Christmas movie is fine with us.
