What Meals Are You Serving Christmas Day?
We usually just buy a honey-baked ham for Christmas day, and serve it with green beans, yams and rolls, but the price of ham seems to have gone up so I'm looking at alternatives. We do the honey-baked ham thing because I'm usually so exhausted come Christmas day, that I'm physically not able to muster up the energy to cook. I'm thinking that maybe I'll buy a couple of cornish hens and stuff them with wild rice. On about. com I saw an interesting recipe for a lavender-lemon pound cake with a honey glaze. I think I'll try my hand at that, but I'll first need to buy some dried lavender.
Breakfast will most likely be waffles topped with strawberries and whipped cream served with a slice of ham.

~Well Christmas Day is DS's B-day so he's getting his favorites all day. We're having Homemade cinnamon rolls w/ cream cheese icing for breakfast, hot dogs and french fries for lunch, and a baked chicken or turkey with potatoes, stuffing, applesauce and cooked carrots for dinner. Dessert will be cupcakes or chocolate chip cookies and ice cream.~

I am not sure, Christmas is hard for myself and my family. My brother died December 26th of last year, so I know it will be another heartwrenching time for us. I don't know where we will be going for dinner, it will most likely be my other brother's house with his family ( they have little girls) and it will be a potluck dinner. There is nothing like the excitement of little kids to lift your spirits, it is good therapy for me. I will definitely want to be with my nieces, they are a hoot.

We have almost the same as Christmas as well, but instead of a turkey we have a spiral cut ham. I'll make a broccoli salad too with mashed potatoes, two veggies, not sure what yet, cranberry sauce, maybe some butternut squash. I don't know what I'm making for dessert yet.

We always make cinnamon rolls for breakfast. We just have sandwiches for lunch, and dinner will be Roast Beef with Yorkshire Pudding, roasted potatoes and carrots, brussel sprouts and steamed broccoli and cauliflower. For dessert we have Christmas Pudding with Brandy Butter and Egg Nog Pie. My family is very open minded about trying new recipes, but I think that if I even wanted to change this menu, open revolt would ensue!

Cinnamon rolls for Christmas breakfast here. We eat Christmas dinner with my parents, siblings, & grandparents and they usually have honeybaked ham. I'm taking a few casseroles & desserts along but I haven't finalized which ones yet.

We stay home on Christmas (just the four of us.) So, I do a big nice breakfast (pancakes or something like that). Then sometimes we're low-key about lunch and dinner. Maybe homemade pizza? Maybe some nice casserole? We celebrate with larger family the week before Christmas (my husband's huge family) and on Christmas eve we see my family. This frees Christmas day up to stay in jammies and play with toys and watch Christmas movies that Santa brings! I love every second of it!

Dh cooks the Christmas breakfast, and I'm not sure what he is cooking this year, but need to find out since I will do the shopping.
For dinner it's baked glazed ham, two whole chickens I cook all night in the crockpot, fried deer steaks, gravy, mashed potatoes, sweet potato casserole, collard greens, homemade mac & cheese, field peas w/snaps frozen from our garden w/corn on cob from our garden, rice, shrimp salad, cranberry sauce, cracklin cornbread, the usual pies and cakes.
