    Talking Almost done......

    Well I am almost done shopping for gifts including putting together Hampers for the two families we have "adopted" over Christmas. You should see the hampers! I used rubbermaid laundry baskets for the baskets (useful and strong) and filled them with gifts, food and GC's. Each also has a $50 superstore GC which I purchased (wish I could afford more). The other GC's include starbucks, movie certificates, video rental cards and a $20 restaurant GC, all which I got for redemming points I have been collecting (petrol, drugstore, grocery store reward programs)! OH I am so happy with them. I will see what else I can still sneak in there!

    I am looking for otherways to get points for rewards. Do you know of any worthwhile ones on line for Canadians. I figure if I keep working at it I might have extra points for next Christmas's hampers ....so I can give even bigger hampers or adopt more families????. Or maybe make up a hamper for Easter too? If I work hard at it.

    That is just so awesome that you are able to do that for others. Those hampers sound perfect to me!

    I collect Air Miles, PC rewards points, Petro Points and HBC (Zellers) points. You can interchange Air Miles with HBC points, and PC reward poitns with Petro Points. I end up using all of them for free groceries.

    I think what you are doing for Christmas is wonderful!!

    I collect all those except PC points. I don't bank there.
    For the hampers I got-
    Block Buster Video rental cards with my Petro points
    Movie GC's with my HBC points
    White spot GC with my Save on points
    Chapter's GC with my airmiles

    not bad huh?
