Holiday Bonus???

Dh gets a nice big profit sharing bonus, this year it was $10,000 before taxes. I get lunch from our agency and a couple of boxes of cookies and little trinkets from my clients and their families. I supervise a training center for adults with multiple disabilities, he sits behind a desk all day, I make 1/3 of what he does, I provide a needed service to the community, he could be replaced by a trained monkey! OK, I am glad that he gets what he does, but just once I would like a little recognition, and not just a cookie! Yes, I'm bitter. The money goes into savings, blah blah blah......

Dh is a public school teacher and has never gotten anything. When he taught at private school he got $40.

DH is a gov't employee so no bonus but his uniform money came in finally so that was nice. He gets $400 every year around this time to reimburse for his new shirts and pants. He's a firefighter.

~no $ here....but I get some food and such and a paid day off from work besides the paid holidays...I was happy

nada, zip. in fact this year the company made dh get his own cell phone, so we are out 100. that will have to come from the food budget. Ouch. I took back all the stuff i got myself to cover some of that cost. Thankfully all the tags were in place and i still had my reciept.

It's ok. I gotta believe that sometime soon things will turn around for us. In the meantime the kids still have all their stuff and they don't know anything is amiss. So it all works out.

DH's bonuses come in the months of January and July-the percentage of sales the company generates determines the amount. We feel extremely grateful that he works for such a generous company. Part of the money goes towards college tuition and the other part this year will go towards our oldest DD's wedding.

My Dh dot a $50 HBC GC and a really nice company jacket. Apparently it will be more each additional year he works for the company.... I am just so happy he is working... YIPEE!

my bonuses come in January and July and are based on performance, etc. I just received my review today, and it was great. so I am hoping for a nice bonus in January. Last July it was $2500 pre-tax.

As far as gifts, I received a $20 Target GC from my manager, and also a $25 Target GC from our department manager.
