Mine will come down tomorrow or the next day. Dh insists that its down before new years, he says it brings bad luck to go into the new year with an old tree.

I like to leave a tree up until Epiphany but this year we didn't do a tree, so saves me the work of dis-assembling it. LOL

I've been ready to take my tree down for over a week. Hubby put it up way too early (before thanksgiving). He has to work tomorrow, so I'm gonna wait until weds so he can help pack up all the stuff.

I talked to my mom today ~ she took her tree down today!

~~ geez ~~ I told her if she would wait for us to get home, I would help her, but I guess she was just sick of looking at it....

Tonight after everyone left I started putting away the boyds and things that sit around. But tom I am going to work on the one tree and the rest of my sit around things. I am going thru it as I put it away to decide if I really really want to keep it.

Dh and I are talking about next year going away over Christmas so I won't put much up if anything and I just want to make sure I want to keep it before I put it away this year. So far so good.

We would take down the outside things tom but we are suppose to get 2-3" of snow (which I could do without since I only want it on Christmas day and it is a little late now).

So don't feel bad about wanting to take down your tree I am right there with you. I already have everything that was under it put away or ready to be washed. I washed the tree skirt and Christmas table cloth and blanket already so it can be put away tom.

I'm making hubby bring up the boxes from the basement before he goes to bed tonight so I can start putting things away tomorrow. I'm glad to be done with Christmas, and I'm ready for 2007!

I am ready to take mine down also. I want to get some of the plastic boxes that Target has on sale first. That way I won't be sorting through the four different cardboard boxes that the stuff is in now.

My parents were still here yesterday...but I started taking some of the christmas clutter and packing it away. I only have a small 3 foot table tree this year (because of the 8 month old kitty) this little tree goes directly into a large trash bag and into the storage closet...no muss no fuss. I really didn't put all that much stuff out this year (it has been nice and simple). Most years I have my christmas eve party and on christmas day I take the large tree down ( my mom usually helps me and I have to work the next day and for us it seems like such a relief to get it all put away.
