Default What was your favorite Christmas gift this year?

What one thing did you recieve this year that you just LOVED?

For me, it was something that DH gave me. It was nothing expensive but I know he really put some thought/time/consideration into it, which is nice because my poor man is typically the one you see at WalMart on Christmas Eve looking for something to buy me.

I got the Paula Deen Celebrates cook book, but the best part is.... it's signed by her!

I was very impressed with that.

My new robe. It's very RED and very soft. I've wanted a robe for YEARS.

Hmmm...from anyone, it's the awesome laundry basket that my friend, Tara, bought me. From dh, it's the iSymphony for my iPod. From others, it's the total of $80 in Barnes and Noble gift cards I got. People were very generous this year, and I am very grateful.

My favorite gift was PJs from my dh & big J & little j ~ they picked them out together - it was a group effort & I love them -- I shouldn't admit it, but I've been wearing them ALL day ~ they are warm & fuzzy

My favorite gift from my mom & dad is a Crosby radio/cd/tape/record player! It's meant to look like the ol' Crosby radios - I took a trip to the thrift store to find records! (.39 cents a piece!!) woooo hoooo !!

Besides a trip to Vegas, my diamond ring given to me by my DH and DS#2.
My DS#3 picked out a diamond necklace and earrings to match the necklace.

When asked what I wanted, I kept telling them I want something for ME, not something for the house this year. I guess they listened. In all the years past, I have always asked for something I can use around the house, like breadmaker, crockpot, etc.

Wonder what I should ask for next year?

My favorite gift this year was a Buxton French purse. My mom used to have one and I loved it. I got one just like the one she used to have.

I think my fav is where my kids pooled their resources to helped to pay for a replacement for housing our tv, a bookcase like thing that is a 70's particle board(we are talking super ugly so called fake wood that doesn't fool anyone) yucko cabinet. Still haven't gotten it but will. Woohoo! I have arrived! Taken over 22 years but I'm getting there.
I make fun, but putting up with stuff like that (no biggie) allowed me to stay at home and raise my kids. Things are not what you want but functional. Nothing wrong with that...priorities.

A wonderful visit with my parents. I don't think I've ever been able to say that. They're leaving tomorrow morning, and I had to say goodbye to them a little while ago
