    Default Christmas gifts for co-workers

This is a holiday related question but also sort of a poll so I didn't
    know where to put it!

I am now working part-time but worked for many years at the
same company full time so I am still close to my co-workers.

There are a few girls that I exchange gifts with & as I am only
working part-time now, the money will be tighter.

Does anyone have any suggestions of inexpensive, but nice
gifts? They all like coffee, candles, home/garden items etc.
Thanks in advance for your ideas!

I posted this a while back. I made these for ds's teachers last year, and some coworkers. They were a big hit.

Coffee spoons and a mugs are nice..... Buy some plastic spoons, get some nice colored ones, they are not expensive.... I just got 25 heavy black ones at the $ tree for a buck. Fill the bowl of the spoon with various kinds of coffee flavorings and wrap in cellophane. Here are some links for ideas........

Sometimes it is more fun to particiapte in something than to get a gift.........
Organize a cookie exchange, remember to include the recipe on a card, have a handmade ornament exchange, have a Christmas card exchange (do you have left overs from the past tens years Christmas cards ? Invite them for lunch , coffee ot tea and have an exchange, it's fun and everyone gets new cards.......

If they are coffee drinkers there is an idea, that some cheap plastic (or regular spoons) and dip them in melted chocolate, give them a mug with a chocolate covered spoon (or a couple) and a bag of their favorite coffee....
I did this for preschool teachers last year but with hot chocolate mix...

You can get mugs and fill with candy, or really anything in it.. you could also get some cheap tea cups and sausers and put a candle in it...

Let us know what you end up doing...

If they like to garden....Make "Garden Journals".... Buy a couple of those school composistion books and use your computer and printer to make a nice cover, you can find lots of nice clip art on the internet. you can even do the art work a little 3D by gluing several pieces of card stock together, cutting out and glueing to your cover.

I have my staff over for dessert one night just before the holidays-maybe thinking along those lines would help. Instead of buying individual gifts, maybe a nice bagel and donut basket for the office, wishing everyone a happy holiday with $20 worth of pastry one morning is nice.
I have also bought nice coffee mugs at pier1 clearance-less than $1 each, and a package of single pot of gourmet coffee (about $2 ) each wrapped in celophane with a pretty ribbon and a candy cane are very pretty to give--I buy a bunch and keep a few in my office, home etc for when someone drops by. Also cheap and easy-dollar store clear canister, fill with the pretty christmas candies, top with a nice ribbbon. A terra cotta flower pot filled with homemade soaps or chocolates, the possibilities are endless.
