well this is our first christmas in a house and so i cant wait to decorate and really light up the outside!! - even when we were in our apartment though, we were up on the second story but i would take lights and wrap them around the handrail on the stairs leading up to our door. i love seeing when people decorate for the holidays, really makes me feel cheery and neighborly knowing that other people are excited about the holiday season.

It's going to be sad decorating this year. It'll just be me and Wesley, thinking of Zac.

I keep a Christmas decoration out year round, over this past year it has been an angel that hangs in my kitchen window. Everytime I look at it I get those warm christmas feeling inside. I swap out the ornament I hang after each christmas.

I left my nativity out this year on the bookshelf. I really like having something Christmassy around all yearas well.

I'm so excited, too. The year before last DH and I were so busy with adoption stuff that we really didn't get to celebrate, it was so stressful. Last year we were heartbroken after our adoption feel through and DH's dad passed away that we just couldn't celebrate. I'm hoping to enjoy this season!

I always address Christmas cards and decorate the house the day after Thanksgiving. I'm looking forward to it.

Im actually excited this year. Years past I've always done the bare minimum to 'get by' if you will and even last year I was just so blah about it - I barely did the basic gifts for immediate family only and very few cards. Hrm..maybe I did a bit more?

I have my card list almost completed, my cards are pulled out and ready to go! My gifts are half purchased if not 3/4 done. I haven't been too far into debt for shopping early - and I will have money during the actual holiday season. All I need to do is pull out my boxes of Christmas decorations and spread them around to make the basement feel 'festive'

Its been a while since I've been this excited about it! I'm excited!!!

We have a decorating competition in our neighborhood. A couple of years ago we won! I make the front bow window into a vintage toy shop, complete with a small collection of antiques toys I've collected over the years.

The really fun part is the friendly competition & teasing we always do with a few of the neighbors. We're always trying to outdo each other!

I'm going to try to post a photo....

    Justpeachy,
Our family always leaves one ornament to keep the Christmas Spirit all year long.
My ornament this year is an angel that is hanging off the knob on my desk.
