I probably won't put my tree up until December 1--I'm afraid of Wesley's destructive nature.

If we decorate our house it is the end of November/first of December. My cat loves to play in the tree so it can be a pain in the butt at times. Some years we do not do any decorating at our house though. It just depends.
Since we vacation during the holidays and spend Christmas in Disney World we always decorate our resort room (just like most everyone else there). The day we arrive I send DH and the kids off to do whatever while I unpack, organize and decorate. We put up a medium size tree, two smaller table top trees, one small talking tree, put our gifts out, hang stockings, put out a holiday rug outside the door, hang lights in the window, put a wreath up, put some window clings of Santa and Frosty on the window, etc....It is so much fun to walk around the different resorts and see how others have decorated their rooms too.
My mom always puts out everything the day after Thanksgiving and puts it away the day after Christmas - without fail.DD (19)

I start the day after Thanksgiving. My Halloween decorations are actually "Fall" decorations so I can leave them up until Thanksgiving. Many of my Christmas decorations are "Winter" decorations so I can leave them up until early March. Can you tell I like to combine holidays and seasons! I could just be a lazy decorator!

Welllllll Last year we had all the lights up on the house and the tree before
Thanksgiving.
I am not sure when we will start this year . I know I am ready to take down all my Halloween decorations. I love to decorate for Christmas. I may start putting the decorations in the house up next week. But I May not do the out side till after Thanksgiving. ( right after lol)

I refuse to decorate for Christmas till the day after Thanksgiving. I just love Thanksgiving and I want to give it the attention it deserves!!
So on the Friday afterwards I drag out the Christmas stuff.

The outside lights should go up in the next week or so even though we won't turn them on until Thanksgiving weekend.
Simetime in Oct/Nov I start changing color schemes in curtains and things like that to fall/winter. (Like my forest green shower curtains to replace the white in the bathroom)
Actual Christmas deccorations usually go up Thanksgiving weekend.

The day after Thanksgiving.
Poor little old Thanksgiving is overlooked but Christmas so I refuse to give in and bypass it.

The day after thanksgiving I used to do it every year so far. But this year I think I will wait until into December because for past few years I am so sick of Christmas decorations I take down the day after Christmas! So I figure maybe December 8th weekend. and take down before new years!

Thanksgiving stuff will go up Thursday or Friday... Christmas will be up the weekend after Thanksgiving.. The only exception to that may be the outdoor Chirstmas lights, I try to get those up when it is still kind of dry outside.. Putting lights up in a rain storm is the pits....
