I'm breaking the mold this holiday season!!!
Dh and I have decided to have ham for Thanksgiving, and Turkey for Christmas. Guess it really doesn't matter since it is just us 3 and his father.

You rebel!

You just brought to mind a favorite memory that I hadn't thought about in a long time- thanks for that. My grandma was famous within our family for not making the traditional meals on holidays. You'd show up on Easter expecting ham, and she'd have Baked Spaghetti. She was a great cook, and I think she just got bored with the same stuff... but we always thought it was funny.

We always have Ham as DH doesn't like Turkey. Actualy I've always wanted to try roast goose. Also read in a book about the early settlers of South Carolina where they had roasted Swan for the hoilday meal. Anyone every had that???
Tell us about the flavor?

Because it's just me and my roommate, and I work retail the day after Thanksgiving, the past few years we've gone to Cracker Barrel for Thanksgiving dinner. Their dinner has turkey AND ham.

I look forward to roasted turkey on Thanksgiving since we don't have it any other day of the year. It wouldn't be Thanksgiving without turkey.

Julie, my son and I were alone one Thanksgiving, and we had pizza. We got a Boboli, and every topping you could imagine, and made the best pizza ever. It was great! Less stress, and good food, and great company.

Well, as long as you don't totally obliterate the mold like my in-laws. They've had all fast food Thanksgiving a few times.
