I have the inside of the house almost done, back porch is finished it looks awesome! Im going to try to do outside tomorrow if its not too cold. I always decorate the weekend after Thanksgiving but this year my sons are coming here for Thanksgiving, and I wont be seeing them over Christmas (600) miles away, so I thought I would surprise them and do Xmas while they are here, and maybe get rid of some EXCESS decor if they want it.. Youngest son just bought his first house so I know he will need decorations to get started. Oh the tree isnt up yet, maybe they would like to help with that, while they are here, I hate doing the tree, but love doing all the other stuff, it looks like a winter wonderland in here..

    Oh heck no.
I wait until the weekend after Thanksgiving to start pulling boxes down from the attic. Then slowly put it out a little at a time, hopefully not having the tree up until December.

I love Thanksgiving too much to have it overshadowed by Christmas

I agree and do the samething here. I think too many holidays are overlooked these days. Thanksgiving is a delicious holiday .

I won't until mid December, tree doesn't go up til maybe a week before the 25th. Call me scrooge but it drives me nuts to see decorations out so early. I'd go into Christmas overload if I put mine up too early. Wreath on the door is a holiday wreath and isn't "christmasy" & that's up now.
To each his own & for those of you who like it all going early, enjoy!

Thanksgiving has never really been a big holiday for me, since my Mom died. That's why I look forward to Christmas.

We don't believe in Christmas Trees. But we do put up a small light display on our patio and decorate our front door. Indoors I don't do much. I do collect nativity scenes and keep several out all year.

DH is working both Thanksgiving and Friday so I will proabably get the stuff out and see how much I can get done while he is at work. Anything I don't get done we will probably finish on the weekend.

We start doing it the weekend after Thanksgiving. We are thinking about a real tree this year, so if we go that route the tree won't go up till mid December.
