Default I keep adding to my list

But God is laying this on my heart, over and over.

My aunt died last January. She left behind 3 children -- all adults, but only one is married. These kids are younger than my nieces and nephews and sometimes I get confused and count them as nieces/nephews instead of cousins!

At any rate -- I feel the need to send them a gift this first Christmas without their mom. The problem? They live in PA, I live in IL. I have no idea what they need, what they like, etc.

    Any ideas?

BTW -- when we had their mom's memorial service, I copied all the family photos and gave them copies then.

hmmmmm. I don't know. Maybe the book For One More Day by Mitch Albom. I loved it and i felt it "talked to my heart" when i was reading it when my mom died.

um....maybe some IL something that can only be found there? Like for instance my grandmother and mom would always send me some Maine blueberry spread. Can't get it anywhere else and i felt as though they were shareing a bit of their home with me. I never ate it, it's a little bitty jar, but it made me happy to get it, still does when i see it.

the photos was a really neat idea, you are so thoughtful

Sorry I'm not much help here, maybe a family tradition something??? Is there a tradition that their family did that might fall by the wayside without mom to carry it on? Like special yearly christmas ornaments or something. Not that you can or would want to replace their mom, but sometimes the familliar brings comfort.

    Sorry, I'm not much help.

Have you thought about getting them or making them a Christmas ornament?

Something they can hang on their tree every year and think of you?
