I'm the same way. I feel guilty telling him I want stuff I guess.

I went to my regular stores one year and marked down the style numbers, colors and sizes for what I wanted plus for a nice pair of boots. Gave my list to my ex and the kids. They were relieved, I got what I wanted and I was still surprised because I didn't know what they would pick off the lists. It was kind of the ultimate wish list.

Thats what I do. I create an Amazon wish list, then email it to dbf. That way he can pick what he wants to get me, and I am still surprised.

My problem with telling dh what I want is I give him a list of things to pick from, ideas, etc. And he goes and buys everything on the list. Nothing more, nothing less (and I know exactly what I'm getting for Christmas, which I HATE!!)

Why can't he do that when I send him to the grocery store with a list??
