Opening Presents?

We open one present on Christmas Eve, new pajamas. The rest we open Christmas morning. We have some out of state relatives that mail presents, we open those on Christmas morning. Though there have been things my grandmother has marked to open early. That is usually a Christmas decoration. We get together with the relatives that are near us on New Years. I like that because I can wait and buy those gifts at post holiday sales.

ok we're weird...

my dad sends money to buy with, so we all go (my kids are dd6 and ds4) to mcd's for supper and to a xmas movie Grand-Papas treat, and the kids get to pick a toy each from the store...and the rest goes in the bank

that is usually around the 15th, so they play with that new toy everyday, usually around 20th my brothers gifts arrive from cross country, the kids open theirs and play with those new toys will the 24th, where they open gifts from us, and on the 25th santa, 25 evening or 26th they open from dh's side

i find instead of getting A HEAP OF TOYS where they dont remember who gave what,they enjoy their toy and can properly thank the person for their gift. i still wish they received less but that is not gonna happen with the amnt of people who buy for them....
