Opening Presents?
How do you guys open your presents? Are all presents opened on Christmas Morning? Any on Christmas Eve? Do you exchange gifts with DS in private or in front of kids? Are you ever tempted to sneak a peek at your presents?

We do presents with dh family Christmas eve. We do presents with dh, myself and the kids Christmas morning. We then go to my moms and do presents with her and my db's family.
Oh yes I want to peek at my presents so dh shops on Christmas eve. I also give his presents I buy to my mom until right before3 Christmas because I want to give them to him early! LOL~July 19 saving goal for event $104/$1000

DH and I haven't exchanged in several years, but when we did, we would do it on Christmas Eve after the kids went to bed.
Now we just have the kids open everything on Christmas morning--the gifts from us and

I guess I should answer my own questions.
How do you guys open your presents? Are all presents opened on Christmas Morning? Any on Christmas Eve? Typically we let Wesley open all his presents on Christmas morning. Zac and I exchange on Christmas Eve. It'll be slightly different since Zac is in Iraq right now.
Do you exchange gifts with DS in private or in front of kids? Generally in private. However, Zac won't be here this year so I will probably open them in front of Wesley.
Are you ever tempted to sneak a peek at your presents? I am. This year, Zac isn't here to stop me. And he is ordering presents and having them sent to the house. I'm kinda nervous.McD

we seem in my hubbys side to be the only ones who wait till Christmas morning. Before it was letting their kids open all of them after midnight mass and wait to see what Santa brought them. Me and hubby like it the old way, plus Santa seems a bit more exspensive for them all round. lol

when i was growing up, christmas eve we went to my moms aunt and uncles house for a nice dinner and exchanged presents, then came home and watch movies and opened 1 present. then i tried to sneak downstairs all night long, until my parents gave in and we got to open presents.
now that im grown and i dont get to that anymore and i have my own kids
right now we dont do anything on christmas eve (might still go the aunt and unlces sometimes) and then exchange presents christmas morning, ususally my parents show up early to watch their first and only grandbaby's christmas.
me and hubby change our tradition every year..2 years ago we exchanged christmas eve after he got done shopping (last minute shopper)
last year we exchanged big b-day/xmas presents on our birthdays since they are close to christmas.
this year i have no clue what we are doing

We don't do a lot for Christmas these days, I'm skipping his family Christmas (a present to ALL of us, we have some issues) I might go to Christmas eve service with my mom and brother.
Not much done gift wise either, last year we did gifts for all hubbies family, only his mother gave us gifts back!
When I was a child Christmas was magical! My dad owned a pharmacy and was mayor so we NEVER saw him. He'd come home late Christmas eve and they'd wake us all up at midnight to celebrate, it was wonderful with the dark, all the lights on the trees and all the wonderful presents, and the biggest wonder, lol, dad was there!

We exchange with family on christmas eveand another group of family on christmas night over dessert. As for the kids and hubby and I we exchange on christmas morning. Although the kids are allowed one gift each on christmas eve. It's a huge joke with them know because I always make a mark on what gift they can open . So know they just ask what color are our new pj's this year. LOL I guess theres no surprise there for them!

My daughter opens her gifts Christmas morning (her father usually stop by to see her open her “Santa” Gifts and to bring some of his own). Later that morning I got to my parents and give my daughter her gift from me there and later that afternoon she goes to her fathers and gets his gifts. My BF and I normally exchange on Christmas night (we spend Christmas eve and day with our own families) but not this year. Due to being so financially strapped, we aren’t going to be exchanging gifts.

We go to my parent's house and have my mom's side of the family over on Christmas eve for dinner. After that, we open the majority of the presents with them there. Just stockings on Christmas morning, then we go to my dad's mom's house and eat there and open a few presents. Gifts aren't a big deal on that side of the family.

We allow the kids to open one
on Christmas eve. However, we select four or five gifts from us/Santa and they can only choose one from that selection. They cannot just open any gift under the tree. If that were the case, they would open their "big"
.
On Christmas morning they have always had to wait until 6:00 am to wake us and begin the opening stampede. DH and I normally do not exchange gifts since our Christmas vacation trip is our gift to each other.

How do you guys open your presents?
We go to my grandparents' house to open gifts on Christmas morning. If it is all adults (which it usually is), we pass out all of the gifts and then open them one at a time (going 'round the room, in order, usually starting with the youngest) until everyone has opened all of their gifts.
This year, we will have small children visiting (cousins), so they will get to open their gifts first and then the adults will start while the kids play.
Are all presents opened on Christmas Morning? Any on Christmas Eve?
For awhile we each opened one gift on Christmas Eve. My grandparents always picked which gifts could be opened and they were usually pajamas or an outfit to wear on Christmas day.
Do you exchange gifts with DS in private or in front of kids?
No kiddos here yet...
Are you ever tempted to sneak a peek at your presents?
I never was a big snooper. In fact, my grandma had her "Master List" of presents laying on the table that we are using as "wrapping central" while I was over there wrapping some gifts for DBF. I saw my name out of the corner of my eye and turned the list face-down.
I do already know everything DBF is getting for me because (bless his heart) he is kind of clueless. I picked them out.
