Question Seeking A Recipe for Making 'cookie dough ornaments'

    Help!

    I can't find what I'm looking for -

a few years ago, my SIL made dozens of christmas ornaments using a 'cookie dough' recipe loaded with salt - cut out the shapes with cookie cutters, baked them in the oven - and we painted them when they cooled - years later, I still have some hanging on my tree - but the boys want to make more

    I can't find a recipe!

I can only find "edible" recipes - but this is certainly NOT edible -

Has anyone made any?? Can you share a recipe with me??

    TIA!

this is the one we ended up using. our last batch of ornaments had so much salt they were kind of gritty. this one turned out just right.

    1c flour
    1/4c salt
6T water (i ended up using a lot more water if i remember correctly.)
